PWC Companies acted as the Owner’s Representative, construction manager, and general contractor for the Virginia Academy Expansion project in Loudoun County, VA. The building expansion consisted of 60,000 Square Feet of Steel with SOMD, a complicated curtainwall system, NCAA regulation gymnasium, classrooms, laboratories, a library, locker rooms, and a communal space for students. In addition to managing the budget, schedule, and sub-contractors, PWC Companies also conducted constructability reviews, building, grading, and USACE Permitting support, weekly status reports, and owner representation. In addition to this, PWC coordinated the installation of new power, water, gas, sewer, and telecom, along with managing the procurement of owner provided such as furniture, fixtures, and equipment. The project, on an aggressive schedule delivered classrooms in time for the first day of school in August.
