Redondo Heights, supported by the Amazon Affordable Housing Fund, is a partnership between nonprofit Multi-Service Center and housing developer SRI to rehabilitate 132 existing residential units and construct 202 new units, bringing 334 new affordable housing units to Federal Way, WA. PWC managed the new construction phases, which included a 5-acre site with five new garden apartment-style buildings and a 1.6-acre site featuring a large building over structured parking. Amenities included garden spaces, a community room, a playground, and onsite services such as community resource navigation and an MSC food bank.
To ensure project success, we implemented SOPs to assist the GC team with project closeout and provided critical support to the OAC teams, enabling the project to meet its year-end deadline. This timely completion saved the developer $300,000 in tax credits while advancing much-needed affordable housing in the area.
