The FEMA Relocation project was a Turn-Key Design-Bid-Build contract on behalf of GSA for Federal Emergency Management Agency. The project included the management of design, permitting, construction, furniture procurement and installation, and relocation management. This location for FEMA was the staging area of disaster response equipment and vehicles and other items related to the Government’s response to National Declarations of Emergencies. There was no tolerance in downtime to FEMA’s mission while under construction, especially as the construction effort was underway during the hurricane season. The original schedule for the project was 16 weeks, and the owner requested that we expedite it. PWC arranged for triple the amount of manpower and successfully completed the 60,000 SF build-out in 8 weeks.
