This was a firm, fixed price contract awarded as part of an NPS MATOC contract. The scope of work included the Phase 1 restorations at Belmont Paul Women’s Equality Monument. BEPA is a historically significant building which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is a National Historic Landmark. The site was an active museum and had to remain open to the public during construction. This project consisted of careful dismantling, salvaging and preservation of building materials including brick, stone, and hardware. All work was completed under the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Historic Properties. Phase 1 of work included exterior building envelope rehabilitation, brick masonry, wood trim, porch roof replacement, wood shutters, realigning gutters, roof repairs due to leaking, including additional sealant and flashing around all roof vents and kitchen wing dormer, limited structural repairs roof/attic at dormer window, and interior and exterior painting.
